God’s will to Heal Part 1
God’s will to Heal Part 2
God’s will to Heal. We are conviced because of scripture that it is God’s will to heal. In order to be scripturally correct we must have scripture. Paul reasoned in the synagogues but he did it with scripture. We do not go by stories, our own expirences or others but by the Word of God. Reason #1. God’s Word is medicine. Prov. 4:22 The word health actually means medicine. If we get enough of word long enough we will be healed. Ps. 107 says God sent his word and Healed them. Reason #2 A Strong Spirit. Prov. 18:14 tells us a strong spirit will take on an infirmity. Many times the Word tells us to be strong, nowhere does it tell us to be weak. God wants us to be strong.
God’s Will To Heal Part 3
Text:Luke 5:12 A man full of leprosy questions Jesus willingness to heal him. He knew Jesus could but wasn’t sure if Jesus was willing. So many Christians are in the same shoes as the leper. they know God can heal but aren’t sure he wants to. Pastor Jay brings out scriptural reasons that it is God’s will to heal us right now #1 God’s Word is medicine Prov. 4:20-22. #2 A Strong Spirit will sustain you Prov.18:14 #3 God’s original plan in the original creation Gen.1&2 #4 God’s will is the same in Heaven & the world to come Rev. 21:1-4 Matt. 6:10 #5 The origin of sickness and disease Rom. 5:11,12 Rom. 6:23 #6 Sickness is the work of the Devil. Job 2:7, Ps. 41:8, Luke 13:12-17
God’s Will to Heal Part 4
Basics of Faith
Pastor Jay taught on Mark 11. Jesus cursed the fig tree then in v.23 said when you speak to the mountain and believe in your heart and do not doubt You will Have what you say. Jesus immediately goes on to whatsoever you desire when you pray and ask you shall receive it. The key is in verse 22. Jesus said ” Have the faith of GOD. We understand faith when we talk about being born again and about going to heaven to be with Jesus but then it stops there. We are to use faith in all ares of our life since it pleases God. Heb. 11:6 There is man’s faith (natural faith) and there is God’s faith ( supernatural faith ). We are shocked when our faith in natural things lets us down and then surprised when a prayer is answered. Faith is simple. Believe that you receive and you shall have!!
Overcomers
Most times we want to have a victory without going through a battle but it doesn’t work that way. If you want a great victory, you need a great battle. 1 Corinthians 10:13 tells us that whatever we go through is common to man. We do not have a special trial that no one else has ever gone through. That is the devil’s strategy to get us to think that we are the only one going through this trial, and that is a lie. There is always a way of escape for whatever we are going through. Every time we go through a trial we have the opportunity for victory, to glorify God, to develop patience, for blessing and for joy. Nehemiah 8:10 says that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Joy is a choice.
The Voice of Your Confession
Confession is speaking the Word of God into the situation. In the beginning God spoke “Light be and light was.” What you confess on a daily basis is what your life will be. If you speak confusion, you will have confusion. We are here to speak life and the Word of God. If you are speaking negative words they need to leave since they do not line up with the Word of God. The Word needs to be spoken first, then we will see the results. Ephesians 6 talks about putting on the whole armor of God. Putting on our armor is meditating on the Word of God.
The Word of Faith Which We Preach
Faith comes by hearing and sometimes we need to hear ourselves preach words of faith. Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart; that is the word of faith which we preach. In order for the word of faith to work for us we have to get it into our heart and it has to be on our lips. Sometimes we need to speak our faith. You can put God’s Word to work for you. How do we get the Word or the light into us? 1.) You need to go digging into the Word of God. Get the knowledge (2Peter 1:2&3). 2.) We need to take the knowledge from our head down to our heart.
The Power of the Tongue Part 1
Our tongue or the words we speak controls our life. James 3:2 says that we offend people but if we can control our tongue then we can control our whole body or being. Proverbs 18:21 also says that there is life or death in the power of the tongue. God spoke life or light when there was darkness. It is important for us to speak life. 3 John 4 says that God doesn’t have any greater joy than to see His children walk in truth, which means speak His words or life. It is time to bring more light to our businesses, families, relationships, marriages and the people around us.
The Power of the Tongue Part 2
Text: James 3:2 & Proverbs 18:21. What comes out of the mouth comes from the heart and has a root in the mind. What will come out of your mouth is what is in you. It is important that in pressure situations we only speak the Word of God. The only thing that is Truth is the Word of God, not other people’s opinions. Our tongue guides our body through space and affects our thought life. We need to love the principle in Proverbs 18:21. If we do not like where we are at in life we need to change our thinking. 1.) Negative thinking produces negative words which produce negative actions. 2.) The Word of God produces positive thinking which produces positive words which produces positive actions.
The Power of the Tongue Part 3
James 3:1-6. Our tongue is the wheel of our life. It is important that we are speaking the correct things so that God’s Word can work for us. If our words do not line up with the Word of God then we will have disaster. Mark 11:23 says that we are to speak unto our mountain. It doesn’t say to think it but to speak it. Sometimes we may have to change some of our programs and the way that we think so that we speak correctly according to the Word. It doesn’t matter what circumstance we are in, whether good or bad, we need to speak consistently and correctly.
The Power of the Tongue Part 4
There are four confessions that we as Christians need to use: 1.) The confession of salvation. 2.) The confession of forgiveness. 3.) The confession of the Word. 4.) The confession of rebuke. We are designed to rebuke things that come against us. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Isaiah 54:17 is a verse that we can quote when things come against us. Jesus rebuked the devil, a fever, the storm on the Sea of Galilee, and the fig tree. Jesus transferred the authority to us to rebuke sickness, lack or anything that comes against God’s will. James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Authority for the believer
In the beginning God gave Adam dominion over the earth (Genesis 1:26). When Adam and Eve sinned they turned there rights over to the devil. Jesus came to this earth to die and take back the earth from satan. When Jesus died He stripped satan of his authority over the earth. Luke 10:18,19 Jesus gave us dominion over the enemy. Ephesians 1:17-22 All things are under the feet of Jesus. We need to understand who we are and what we are and the authority we have in Jesus. Satan is like a roaring lion, he isn’t one but he likes to make people think that he is strong and mighty, but since God made us one with Jesus we have the power over him. When we walk in authority, we are walking in what God gave us.

Walking In The Spirit
(Jay talked about the importance of having a word recorded, because the person giving the word will not remember it, and because it is beneficial for the receiver to listen to it over and over.)
Sermon message: Text: Galatians 5:16-26. We have to live over our flesh. When you fast, some things manifest, and some things of the flesh come out.
When we walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians5:16). The flesh is your will. Most people get verse 16 backward. They think if they control the flesh, then they will get closer to God. We need God’s power to live above the flesh. The flesh and the Spirit conflict with each other (Galatians 5:17). If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law (Galatians 5:18). We are under the law if we try to make something happen and by trying to work it out. Galatians 5:19-21 tell about those things that are the works of the flesh. Not inheriting the kingdom of God does not mean that they are going to hell. You are only responsible for the light that you have been given, and you are to seek more light.
Those who are Christ’s crucify the flesh. Galatians 5:24 says that those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh. Take an honest look at your life. What is coming out of you? Is it the work of the Spirit or the work of the flesh? You may find areas you need to work on, when you answer that question. The book of James says that we are not to deceive ourselves. Not everything that you deal with is a demon or from the devil. Sometimes it is just our flesh.
Walk in the Spirit, and you will not do the works of the flesh. Choose to walk in the Spirit. Whatever you are feeding on, is what you will get- the Spirit or the flesh.
What do you do when you sin? Do you keep focusing on the sin, or do you repent immediately? Look to Jesus and what He did rather than focusing on your mess-up. We are made worthy through Christ Jesus. Do not beat yourself up with what you have done.
If we are born-again, we are crucified and resurrected with Christ. Our flesh died at the cross. We see flesh everyday. We are reminded of it by what we do and do not do. It will tell you that it is not crucified, but our flesh is crucified by Jesus. We have to believe by faith that our flesh is crucified.
We can choose how we will react to other people. We are crucified and resurrected with Christ. Focus on walking in the Spirit and some of those flesh things will take care of themselves. We have been trained to put the flesh under. We are not to bear our cross. Jesus told His Old Covenant men to bear their crosses, but nothing of that is mentioned in the New Testament after that. We do not have to bear our crosses. Believe by faith that you are dead.
Romans 8:14 says that those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. Romans 6:4 states that we are buried with Him through baptism. Romans 7 is about Paul’s struggle in himself, but do not let that define you. That is about what he used to be. It is about the law, but is followed by chapter 8, which is about the Christ who delivers us. We do not have to dress up (fix up) the flesh because it is dead. We must consider that we are dead because of what we believe. Fasting may clarify things, but there must be a balance in that, so we do not get into a ditch on the other side of it. Focus of the fact that we have been crucified and resurrected with Him.
